- All of what we do has origin. It is either from human origin (flesh) or from God’s origin (Spirit).
- There are purposes and activities of human origin (flesh) or from God’s origin (Spirit).
Isaiah 62:4-9 (NKJV)
4 You shall no longer be termed forsaken, nor shall your land any more be termed desolate; but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; For the Lord delights in you, And your land shall be married.5 For as a young man marries a virgin, So shall your sons marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, So shall your God rejoice over you. (GOD’S PROMISE TO US)
6 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,7 And give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. (OUR ASSIGNMENT AS KINGDOM LABOURERS). 8 The Lord has sworn by His right hand and by the arm of His strength: “Surely I will no longer give your grain as food for your enemies; and the sons of the foreigner shall not drink your new wine, for which you have laboured. 9 But those who have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; Those who have brought it together shall drink it in my holy courts.”(REWARD FOR FAITHFUL LABOURERS) Recap from last week’s ‘Women in Travail’.
- We started our study on MARY the mother of Jesus, A CARRIER OF GOD WHO TRAVAILS like us, our mentor in the school of Travail who clung to God until Mr Iniquity was nailed to the cross.
- We saw God as a travailing God and the qualities He expects / looks for in a man or a woman who is to stand in the Gap to be used by Him in the life of Mary.
- We also saw that God require men and women who are called by His name to humble themselves, turn from their wicked ways, stand in the gap to pray and seek His face so that He can hear us and heal our land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
- God said we should Hang on; do not be discouraged for help is on the way because He is NOW ready to travail with us which he has started.
- God made us travailing women and men and gave us wombs for the following: NATIONS, CHILDREN, HOMES, MARRIAGES, MINISTRIES, GIDEONS, EZRAS, PRODIGAL CHILDREN, MEN (HUSBANDS), PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS, PERSECUTED CHILDREN, WOMEN (WIVES), KINDOM LABOURERS, LOST SHEEP, LOST COIN AND THE BODY OF CHRIST (CHURCH) in PAIN.
Today, we will continue to look at the life of MARY as A CARRIER OF DESTINY/ VISION (that is you and I as a carrier of Destiny standing in the gap for revival). The things we need TO DO, KNOW and HOW TO GO ABOUT carrying this (these) pregnancy to term without aborting it or giving birth to a premature or disabled child.
In doing this I will like us to read:
Luke 1:26-56
From the above scriptures, I want us to consider the following as a woman or man in travail standing in the Gap to be used by God for revival.
- Like Mary do not be afraid for you are highly favoured to be used by God. Luke 1: 28-30.
- God has given you a womb to conceive and bring forth in the place of prayer. Luke 1:31, 2 Chronicles 7:14
- Instructions on what to do, how to go about it, will be given by God only. It must be done according to God’s pattern. Luke 1:31.
- The aims, objectives, motives and purpose of the vision / assignment will be given to you and it must be written down. Luke 1:32-33, Habakkuk 2:2.
- The source of the assignment / vision must be clear/ verified/ confirmed. It must be generated from a new creation heart and not be from the flesh. It must be tested and must be from God. 2 Corinthians 13:1, Deuteronomy 17:6.
- You must wait to be empowered by the Holy Spirit for the assignment. Luke 1:34-35, Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8.
- God will always send you a helper / someone who carry similar vision / assignment (someone who will disciple you to train / guide you physically and spiritually for the assignment). Luke 1:36.
- It must be clear to you that you are a servant of God in pursuing this assignment and Instructions from God must only be carried out. Mary accepted herself to be a maid servant of God. Luke 1:38.
- You must arise and take action immediately. Do not procrastinate. Mary Arose immediately to Elizabeth the person God chose to disciple / train her. By this action, Elizabeth’s burden or vision found release. The baby leaped for joy (confirmation) and she got filled with the Holy Spirit which she never had before the visit. As a result of her obedience, there came an empowerment of another person’s vision. (The attributes of the Holy Spirit sets in to help another person’s vision). Luke 1:39-44.
- There are rewards for those who obey the instructions of God immediately. Isaiah 62:8, Luke 1:45-54.
Prayer Points:
- O Lord, help me to continue to find favour in your sight until I bring this destiny child (vision) to term in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord cultivate my life as a husband man cultivates his vine in Jesus name so that I can bring forth much fruit. John 15.
- Help me Lord to stay focused, humble myself and seek help from Calvary minded people who are in the same labour as I am in Jesus name.
- O Lord help me to (PUSH) Pray Until Something Happens in this (these) assignment in Jesus name.
- O Lord give me clarity of purpose and make your ways plain before my face. Hosea 4:6 says my people perish for lack of knowledge…
Isaiah 42:18-19 (AMP)
18 Hear, you deaf! And look, you blind, that you may see! 19 Who is blind but My servant [Israel]? Or deaf like My messenger whom I send? Who is blind like the one who is at peace with Me [who has been admitted to covenant relationship with Me]? Yes, who is blind like the Lord’s servant?
- O Lord open my eyes to see like You see and my ears to hear like You would.
- O Lord do not let me be too comfortable with You.
- The wisdom to carry my destiny to term fall upon me in Jesus name.
- O Lord teach me to understand my destiny in Jesus name.
- O Lord help me to guide my destiny to the right places and to the right people in Jesus name.
- O Lord uphold me in this assignment and make our soul delight in me.
- Lord, like Mary said, Let it be to me according to your word.
