Exodus 2:1-3 (KV)
And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi. And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.
Jochebed's roots / foundation
She was a daughter of the house of Levi - the lineage of Priests. She had her roots inside CHRIST.
- Keep me rooted, grounded, established inside CHRIST. Eph 3:17.
- Grant me revelation of the complete GOSPEL so I am certain of my foundation.
- Help me sense the need, urgency and the grave consequence of not de-cluttering from the relics of the Adamic race.
- Give me understanding that my travail can only be effectual when my standing is in CHRIST.
- Let the output of my life from henceforth be on the platform of the full Gospel.
Whatever is born of
GOD overcomes the world. 1 John 5:4.
... for that which
is conceived in her is of the Holy
Spirit. Matt 1:20b.
- Help me know that my life is not my own and to give CHRIST ALL the space HE rightfully deserves.
- When my contents is CHRIST, what I conceive and give birth to will overcome the world.
- The seed of the sinful nature are obvious, please rid me of them ALL. Gal. 5:19-21.
- Every act of Jochebed to rescue Moses for a divine purpose stemmed from her ability to ‘see’.
- Can you see an increase in decrees by Pharoah against Hebrew families? We are the Jews(born again) in our time now.
- Can you see that we are in the generation where everything is against the birth of goodly sons and men?
- What are you ‘seeing’ with regards to your Gideons?
- Jochebed was able to see who Moses was rather than be carried away by the prevailing circumstances.
- Having seen the type of child Moses was, she sought the LORD for divine direction (She hid Moses for 3 months).
- Jochebed hid Moses from Pharoah and all the spies. Exo 1:22.
- Lord, grant me understanding of which area I need to hide my Gideon.
- Lord, give me understanding of how long you want me to hide my Gideon.
- Help me know when my Gideon is ready to come out of hiding to the next terrain.
