Travailing With A Vision And Scope

COME DRINK NEW WINE! TRAVAILING WOMEN- Jochebed

A woman whose travail will bring the ultimate miracle in revival- Raise the dead to life.

ü  Same outward status with other women in Goshen.

- Numbers 26:59. She was born in Egypt, a slave, pregnant, had a baby.

·         Thank you for all my external status.

·         Let me see them as the opportunity given me to dwell among people of same status so I can affect them. "The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us" (John 1:14)

·         Teach me to labour for Your glory within my present status.

ü  Different status inwardly.

- Exodus 2:2. She had a vision and a scope- God's promise to father Abraham.

Vision: Gen 15:13-14 -Slavery in a foreign land, then deliverance after 400 years.

Scope: Gen 12:3 "And in you shall all the families of the earth be blessed"- JESUS

Faith comes by hearing God's Word.

·         Deepen me in Your Word. Cause me to hear You in Your Word.

·         Make Your Word to work mightily in me. Incubate me now for what You will have me do in the future.

·         Bring the outputs of Christ's life in me. "The Word became flesh"

ü  She put her faith into action.

 - Her immediate vision was Israel's deliverance from slavery.

She poured all her travail into this vision. How?

She actively prepared all her house- Aaron, Miriam, Moses.

Like Suzanna Wesley, unlike Lot's wife.

·         Let faith become active in me.

·         Let me be propelled daily by Your vision and scope in me. Let not my life be slowed down by blessings or challenges.

·         Help me prepare everyone and everything in my life for Your vision and scope- My household, disciples, circumstances, etc

·         Like Jochebed, Let my quiet travail bring deliverance to many.

 LORD, make me a travailing woman!
