John 4: 1-30; 39-42
ü Jesus planned to travel to Galilee but needed to pass through Samaria.
ü He encountered a Samaritan Woman by the well and engaged her in a
conversation.
ü Her poverty of Spirit soon became apparent.
ü He addressed dead works that obscured her seeing JESUS:- tradition;
religion; deep longing for acceptance and a desire to find the true Fountain of
Life and never thirst again.
ü She inquired about this Fountain of Living Water springing up into
eternal life and longed to see the prophesied Messiah who will come and save
them. JESUS revealed Himself to her.
ü In that instance, she dropped her water-pot.
What Happened Next
ü She immediately became a bearer and witness of Christ.
ü She responded to Matthew 28:19 - “GO”
ü She took up a travail. “Come, see a Man who told me all thing I ever
did. Could this be the Christ?
ü She was not going to cover the little beam of light that shone in her
heart. Responsibility to share the good news constrained her. She was unstoppable.
ü Her city became her missionary grounds.
ü Despite her reputation in that city, she boldly persisted in her
travail. The men went out of the city and came to meet Jesus.
ü Many Samaritans believed in Jesus because of the testimony of the
Samaritan woman.
ü Their hearts were so captivated by the Master that they constrained Him
to stay with them. Jesus agreed and laboured over them for 2 days.
ü Many more believed because they personally collided with Jesus. Their
conviction was not rooted on the Samaritans woman’s words any more. They
beheld, touched and handled Him personally. Jesus became their life and
reality.
ü Regardless of their reasons of coming out to see JESUS, their concluding
testimony was- "We know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world."
Revival sparked in Samaria because a WOMAN
encountered JESUS and would not keep silent!!!!

Prayer Points
ü Mobilise my own heart like the Samaritan Woman to go forth proclaiming
the message of the Cross now in this daybreak.
ü Holy Spirit, we raise a cry today for our nations- "Come and hear the
message of the Cross."
ü Give wings to this song/message- “The Mystery of the Gospel”. Cause it to
be heard via all virtual and communication channels in my designated “Cities”.
ü Cause it to go viral. Like Moses’ rod, let it swallow up every inferior
and erroneous fragmented gospel.
ü Let the mysterious, superior message collide with all listeners' hearts
and bring them out of the city of sin/darkness into light.
ü May the power in the Word bring about godly sorrow leading to genuine
repentance. May all the listeners become disciples of Christ indeed.
ü Holy Spirit, reveal JESUS to all hearers. Open their eyes to see their
poverty of Spirit and cry out- "I want this everlasting Fountain of Life."
ü JESUS, engage all the listeners and rid them of all dead works.
ü Let all men’s conviction and foundation be firmly rooted in their
personal and progressive knowledge of JESUS not just on the testimony of a
person.
ü Alleluia!!! May their concluding testimony be- “We know that this is
indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the World.
